Terms & Conditions

General
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
Cats must be transported to and from the kennels in a secure cat carrier (cardboard carriers are not appropriate).
Confirmation of your booking is required by completing the booking form and returning it to us with your non-refundable deposit for each pet,The remaining balance is payable on arrival to the kennels. Deposits required are as follows
1-3 days boarding £10 per pet
4-7 days boarding £20 per pet
8 days boarding + £30 per pet
over 15 days boarding £50 per pet
Reservations will only be held for 7 days while awaiting the return of the booking form.
We accept cash or cheque only; please note cheques are only accepted for boarding of 7 days or more. Cheques are made payable to Spire Ridge Boarding Kennels. A receipt will be sent via email ( if details provided) or by post confirming the booking has been accepted.
All dogs/Cats will be charged for day of entry and day of departure irrespective of the time of delivery and collection. No refund shall be given if dogs/cats are collected earlier than the agreed booking period.
If you wish to cancel a booking, Please give a least 7 days notice prior to the start of boarding.
Whilst every care and precaution is taken to ensure that dogs/cats left with us are kept safe and free from injury or illness, we cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft, injury, or death of a dog or cat, or any possessions left with the animal.
If a dog or cat is not collected within 30 days of the scheduled collection date, and if no contact can be made with the owner, we reserve the right to assume ownership and sell the dog/cat or send to a suitabl agency for re-homing. Any monies due will be kept by us to cover any additional costs incurred.
Owners will remain responsible for full boarding fees until the dog/cat has been re-homed or collected by its owner.
All dogs/cats boarding with us are fully insured against death, loss, theft and vet fees. Please note our insurance does not cover pre existing conditions. (Please ask for details)
Sharing of boarding accommodation where dogs/cats are from the same household, Owners requiring their dogs/cats to share accommodation agree that Spire Ridge will not be held responsible if the dogs/cats
sustain injury as a result of sharing, owners agree for Spire Ridge to seperate Dogs/Cats that are sharing accommodation if they deem it necessary to do so.
If your dog or cat requires specialist food it will need to be provided or paid for by the owner.
Health.
Owners must confirm that dogs are vaccinated against Parvo Virus, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and kennel cough before commencement of boarding. Please note Kennel cough vaccination should be given 7-14 days before commencement of boarding.
Owners must confirm that cats are vaccinated against Feline Infectious Enteritis and Cat Flu, before commencement of boarding.
Dogs or Cats without vaccination protection will not be admitted AND in line with our cancellation policy, the full cost of the booking will be charged.
Dogs/Cats must be up to date with flea and worming treatment prior to boarding
If we are asked to administer flea or worming treatment during an animals stay, we can’t be held responsible if the dog(s)/cat(s) have a reaction to the medication. If fleas or worms are found during an animals stay, we will seek medical treatment form a qualified vet. Any administration of flea and worming medication given by the vet will be charged to the owner, we can’t be held responsible if the medication given to us by the vet causes a reaction.
Owners confirm that any dog/cat left for boarding are healthy and free from injury and authorise Spire Ridge to contact your veterinary practice for confirmation of current vaccination details or existing medical conditions if required.
Owners accept that we will use the service of a qualified veterinary surgeon should your dog/cat require veterinary treatment for illness or injury whilst staying with us. All costs incurred shall be payable on collection of your dog/cat.
We reserve the right to refuse admission if any dog or cat displays noticeable health or behaviour problems.
